Nettuno Dongle

Rus_Nettuno | This procedure has to be done just once and only if on the customer's PC Rus_Nettuno is unavailable.
What is it and what it's for?
Rus_Nettuno is a free tool distributed to customers who bought a Nettuno Sistemi machine. Once downloaded on the same PC where the Hasp key is plugged in, installation will not be required, being a simple executable file to keep in the computer and to be used only if needed.
It's essential to apply the updates that will progressively be released by Nettuno Sistemi. Furthermore, it could be useful for our technicians in order to make them able to collect information on the Key itself and take action if necessary.
How to apply it?

| Open again the pull-down menu and click on "Open". |

| Click on the button "Extract all files". |

Click on the button "Extract"(3). Alternatively, if you wish to change destination folder, click on "Browse"(1), choose the new destination and click on "Ok"(2) then on "Extract"(3). Once this is done, the tool is ready to be used and, if you keep it, you don't have to do this procedure once again. |

What is it and what it's for?
An hardware key update is a small configuration file weighing only a few KB.
Depending on commercial agreements and for security reasons, it's possible that the Hardware key (Sentinel Hardware Key) provided with Nettuno Sistemi machines, needs to be updated.
The update will solve the eventually present problems affecting the functionality of the Hardware key that consequently make both software and machine unusable.
How to apply it?
If an update of the Hardware key is necessary, the customer will receive a configuration V2C (Vendor to Customer) file.
To use this file in the PC where the Hardware key is plugged in, the tool "RUS_Nettuno" is needed (see section above).
Procedure
| Download the update received from our Customer Care Service on the PC where the key is plugged in. |

| Launch the "Rus_Nettuno" tool from the "Launch" button. |
|
| Select the "Apply license file" sheet. |
|
| Browse to the file(1), select the update received from the Customer Care Service(2), click on the "Open" button(3). |
|
| Click on the button "Apply Update" to complete the procedure. |
|
| Update successfully applied. |

Collect Information | This procedure has to be performed if requested by Nettuno Sistemi.
What is it and what it's for?
Sometimes, it may be required to realign data of the Hardware key owned by the customer with those stored in Nettuno Sistemi's servers.
The correct data realignment is necessary in the case of an update release, a data restoration following accidental loss or any other event that could affect the correct functionality of the key itself.
Generating an update to be distributed to a customer without the correct alignment between key and server data, would produce an error while trying to apply the update.
Therfore if required by Nettuno Sistemi, execute "Collect Information" of the dongle key as described in the next procedure.
How to apply it?
In order to create a file with the collected information, on the PC where the dongle is plugged in, the tool "RUS_Nettuno" will be required (see section on top of the page).
Procedure
| Launch the "Rus_Nettuno" tool from the "Launch" button. |

| Select the tab "Create C2V fil". |
|
| Select the option "Updating an existing license" and click on the button "Create file C2V". |

Save the file with the company name and the serial number of the machine associated with the key and send it to: support@nettunosistemi.com
